What if you want to be able to volunteer in the classroom and be a field trip driver/chaperone? Which category should one choose? Does one of the school volunteer categories encompass the other? I.e., can a “general school volunteer” also be a driver and/or vice versa?
I would go with ‘general school volunteer’… I believe the requirement to be a field trip driver is the same volunteer badge (and a driver’s license, if you’re driving, of course!) Just to be sure, you can call the WCCUSD Community Engagement Office at (510) 307-4526.
